Christy is excited to be a leader and advocate for her patients’ care. In the past, Christy worked as a family nurse practitioner as well as in other specialties. Christy brings to the practice her experience in pulmonary, critical care medicine, sleep medicine, and additional areas.
Over her years of work, Christy has experienced the brokenness of the traditional health care system first hand. Complicated policies, cumbersome forms and paperwork, and insurance-dictated care created a disconnect in her relationship with patients. Not only did Christy want a way out of the traditional health care system, but she also wanted to provide a way out for patients as well.
As the provider for Member Medical DPC, Christy will be able to spend more one-on-one time with patients, investing in their lives and their care.
Christy lives in Hardin County with her husband, Brandon, and son, Gage. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December 2008 and then her Masters of Science in Nursing in August 2010 from Western Kentucky University.
Direct Primary Care is the restoration of the medical practice to its roots in personalized care. Through a Direct Primary Care provider, you receive affordable, membership-based primary health care tailored to your life.
Whether you are looking for care for yourself, your family, or your employees, Direct Primary Care ensures patient-health is put first. The monthly membership dissolves the need for complicated insurance forms and policies, meaning our staff is focused on serving you.
Benefits of Direct Primary Care with Member Medical:
When you enter the Member Medical office, we want you to feel relaxed and welcomed, like you’re at home, not a sterile waiting room. You’ll interact with a friendly, dedicated staff instead of being met with a glass partition and a stack of paperwork (that you’ve probably already filled out a dozen times).
Our providers care for a limited number of patients — about 800, compared to the normal 2,500+ — therefore you will see a provider who has time to get to know you and is familiar with your health. While you’re meeting with your provider, you will enjoy deliberate, genuine care that is personalized to your needs. Instead of focusing on insurance-dictated forms and questionnaires, your provider will be able to focus on you.
After your appointment, you will receive intentional follow-up from our staff. If you desire additional care from your provider outside of regular office hours or without taking time off, you can communicate with your provider 24/7 with virtual visits. This can also alleviate the need for unnecessary Emergency Room or Urgent Care visits.
Our goal as a practice is to be patient-centric and empower you to take control of your health, and your experience with Member Medical will reflect that goal.
